The complex city region Lab contributed to the Dutch delegation on Spatial planning to the Beijing design week 2013.
Following our collaboration with Tshingua and Beijing University of Technology and the Beijing Instutute for Architectonical and planning design, the Complex city studio coordinator. Dr. Diego Sepulveda contribute to the Beijing biennial with the presentation of the metropolitan analytical approach, who constitute the analytical base to introduce the “Dutch planning approach” into the review of China urban development perspectives.
The assignment was to present developing perspectives into three different areas in Beijing and compare the results with the Beijing Planning Bureau perspective, so to exchange ideas and possible scenarios. The work was done in a consortia, including Amsterdam planning department, Amsterdam metropolitan planning department and several offices of landscape, Urban and architectonical design from Holland. The results can be seeing at the page of the Creative industries foundation who gave the overall framework and finance the whole initiative.
