A theoretical framework of graduations is the main issue during the upcoming coaching session on Wednesday, 9 September. At complex cities coaching specific attention will be given to ways how to relate observations about spatial development to observations about planning (deducted from insights into planning systems and cultures, decision-making and societal trends). Complex cities graduations often thrive on propositions of such relations.
To prepare for the coaching session students have been asked to identify a set of key words that matter in their graduations. During a simple workshop, we will commonly discuss relations among topics along two main questions:
- What kind of spatial development are you interested in?
- Who is the audience of you research and design project?
Please prepare by reflecting on multiple possibilities. Are you advocating a political point of view? Are you a organizational pragmatist? Do you address a group of scholars?
